Heidi Leavengood, Ruan Transportation Management Systems, Inc.
Heidi Leavengood joined Ruan Transportation Management Systems, Inc. in 2022 and currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Ruan is one of the largest family-owned transportation management companies in the nation providing dedicated contract transportation, managed transportation, value-added warehousing, and brokerage support services. In her current role, Heidi is responsible for leading Ruan’s financial strategy.
Heidi has over two decades of accounting, finance, and treasury experience. Prior to her role at Ruan, Heidi served as the Senior Vice President of Accounting and Finance at Lifespace Communities, Inc. Heidi started her career at KPMG, where she audited private and public companies in a variety of different industries.
Heidi earned her bachelor’s degree from Simpson College. She is also a graduate of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute. Active in her community, Heidi serves on the board of directors for the Waukee Community Schools Foundation, on the audit committee for the Food Bank of Iowa and as a deputy to the Iowa Business Council.
